Dr. Miguel Grillo is a dentist who truly cares about doing things right for his patients. While working on a crown for me, he noticed it wasn’t fitting properly and the color wasn’t quite right. Instead of settling for something that was “good enough,” he stopped and had the crown redone so it would fit perfectly and match correctly. My previous dentist probably wouldn’t have taken that extra step, but Dr. Grillo clearly takes pride in his work and wants his dental work to last. I also really appreciate his front desk team. They’re efficient, friendly, and very knowledgeable when it comes to working with my dental insurance so I get the maximum benefit. Communication is excellent too—they keep in touch through text, email, or phone so nothing falls through the cracks. The office itself is modern, high-tech, and runs very smoothly. I would highly recommend Dr. Grillo and his staff for any type of dental work.

Absolutely the best dental care ever! I have gone to Dr Grillo for 28 years and he and his staff are the very best. Stephanie's deep cleaning has kept my teeth in perfect health for years and Dr Grillo's expertise has taken care of my entire family as well. Everyone I have recommended them to has thanked me and agrees they are fantastic. Their new office is state of the art and doesn't feel like any I have ever been to in a great way.

It's been a long road for my husband and I since moving to San Diego 5 years ago to find the right dental practice. Finally this year we found DNTL. Everyone we've encountered here has been professional, caring and supportive. We feel deeply fortunate to now be under the care of Dr Grillo and his fantastic assistant Janice, both of whom have great expertise and skill. I struggle with intense dental anxiety and have experienced nothing but understanding and full support. We are truly grateful.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Dentist – Best Experience I’ve Ever Had Dr. Lum is hands down the best dentist I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk in, the office is calm, professional, and impeccably run. Dr. Lum himself is exceptional — incredibly skilled, gentle, and thorough, but just as important, he actually takes the time to explain what he’s doing and why. He combines old-school craftsmanship with modern technology, and you can feel the difference immediately. No rushing, no upselling, no pressure — just excellent dentistry done the right way. His attention to detail and commitment to doing things properly really stand out. The staff is equally impressive: friendly, efficient, and genuinely caring. Appointments run on time, communication is clear, and the entire experience feels thoughtful and patient-focused. If you’re looking for a dentist you can trust — someone who takes pride in their work and treats patients with respect — Dr. Lum is the real deal. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Grillo and his incredible team! From the moment you walk in, Liz and Emily at the front office make you feel genuinely welcome. They’re not only friendly and professional, but also incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to treatment plans and scheduling—everything runs like clockwork. Dr. Grillo is hands down the best dentist I’ve ever had. He’s thorough, gentle, and takes the time to explain every step of the process. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and their long-term dental health. Janice, the dental assistant, is a total pro, always one step ahead and making sure everything is prepped and comfortable. And Stephanie, the hygienist, is amazing! She’s meticulous but gentle, and my teeth have never felt cleaner. This team works like a well-oiled machine, and they make going to the dentist something I actually look forward to. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-notch dental care with a personal touch!
